MAJOR: WOMEN & GENDER STUDIES
Women & Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary program that seeks to study history and culture from women's perspectives and to deepen the methods of academic pursuit by acknowledging the critical place of gender. Women & Gender Studies encourages a reexamination of traditional methods and concepts, supports new kinds of research, and allows students to better understand the changing roles and behavior of men and women in the contemporary world.

Women & Gender Studies Capstone Course Requirement: Every senior Women & Gender Studies major must enroll in the 3 credit capstone course, The Study of Women's Studies (WOMS 410). This course is offered once a year in the Spring semester. If a student plans to graduate in the Fall or Winter, they should arrange to take the capstone course during the preceding Spring semester.
A minimum grade of C- is required in each course.
ELECTIVES
After required courses are completed, sufficient elective credits must be taken to meet the minimum credit requirement for the degree.
